Hills Prestige are proud to offer this beautifully restored and well cared for Renault 5 GT Turbo finished in the iconic Electric Blue, owned for almost 19 years and recently completed following an extensive restoration programme. This is an honest, usable and highly sorted example ready to be enjoyed immediately, complete with current MOT and extensive history. Over the last six years the car has undergone a comprehensive restoration with the aim of creating a reliable, rust-free and largely original example. Structural work included inner and outer sills, floor pan repairs, windscreen surround, front and rear arches and additional metalwork where required. Following completion, the car was professionally resprayed in Electric Blue and flow coated for excellent depth and durability before new decals were applied. The condition of the paintwork and bodywork now presents exceptionally well, and extensive photographic evidence documenting the restoration process will accompany the car. Inside, the interior has been restored to match the quality of the exterior. The seats have been fully retrimmed in correct Phase 2 fabric with bolsters repaired where necessary, complemented by the correct grey GT Turbo carpet set. The electric windows operate properly as they should, and the original features remain intact including the uncut door cards, original speaker grilles and parcel shelf with no speaker holes. Rear door cards are in excellent condition with no sagging fabric. An AFR gauge has been discreetly fitted in place of the original clock. Mechanically, the car remains largely standard but benefits from sensible upgrades including: VNT turbo setup running approximately 17psi Lightened flywheel Cup breather setup AP Racing 4-paddle clutch The VNT turbo delivers boost in a similar rev range to the original T2 turbo but with improved performance and drivability.
